Darrel Odgers was born in Tasmania. He and his wife, Sally, have co-written several books, but their happiest collaboration is the Jack Russell: Dog Detective series. This sprang from the curious habits of their Jack Russell terrier, Ace. Sally Odgers is one of Australia 's busiest writers for children. She loves writing fantasy, science fiction, and stories told from a different point of view. In her spare time, she loves reading, walking (especially with dogs), listening to music and expanding her website.
